• Produce FCPXML: Triggers the compilation of the imported subtitle data, application of style configurations, and generation of the output Final Cut Pro XML file. This action is only available after a valid subtitle file has been successfully imported and parsed.

1. Font Selection

• Font Family: Selects the typeface (e.g., Helvetica, Arial) applied to the subtitle text in the generated output.

• Size: Adjusts the absolute font size in points to control the visual scale of the subtitle text.

3. Border & Stroke

• Enable Border: Activates or deactivates an outline stroke around the subtitle characters to improve readability against varying backgrounds.
• Width: Adjusts the thickness of the outline stroke in points.
• Stroke Color: Selects the color for the text outline stroke from a palette of standard colors, or uses the color picker for a custom hue.

4. Colors

• Text Color: Selects the primary fill color for the subtitle text from a palette of standard colors, or uses the color picker for a custom hue.

• Frame Rate (FPS): Selects the target timeline frame rate for the output project, ensuring proper synchronization of subtitle durations.

• Avoid Overlap (offset by 1 frame): When active, automatically reduces a subtitle's end time by one frame if it would otherwise collide with the start of the next subtitle, preventing rendering conflicts.
• Extend Duration: Appends a fixed time offset, in seconds, to the end of every subtitle block to extend its display duration.

2. Formatting & Splitting

• Auto Split Long Lines: Automatically divides subtitle lines that exceed a set character count into multiple rows to improve readability.
• Max Length: Defines the character limit that triggers the line-splitting logic when automatic splitting is active.

3. Backdrop Patch

• Add Black Backdrop Patch: Generates a solid black background block behind the subtitles to ensure legibility, particularly over bright or complex video content.

4. Ignore Formatting Markup

• Italics (<i> / </i>): When active, strips HTML-style italic markup tags from the source subtitle text during parsing.
• Bold (<b> / </b>): When active, strips HTML-style bold markup tags from the source subtitle text during parsing.
• Underlines (<u> / </u>): When active, strips HTML-style underline markup tags from the source subtitle text during parsing.
• Fonts (<font> / </font>): When active, strips HTML-style font container tags and their color properties from the source subtitle text during parsing.

Final Cut Pro Workflow

• Open FCPXML immediately in Final Cut Pro: When active, automatically launches Apple Final Cut Pro and opens the generated FCPXML file immediately after compilation is complete.
• Don't suggest Show in Finder after export: When active, suppresses the standard completion dialog prompt that offers to reveal the output file in the Finder.

FCP XML Version Preference

• Prefer FCP 10.6+ FCPXML: Determines whether the application generates XML targeting newer Final Cut Pro 10.6+ structures by default, rather than legacy FCPXML versions.
• Remember my FCPXML choice: When active, saves the user's selection from the version prompt sheet, bypassing the prompt in future export operations.
